Chip Diggins
Producer
CHIP DIGGINS (Producer) is an independent producer and has worked in Hollywood for over 20 years. Diggins joined The Walt Disney Company in 1989 and worked there for almost seven years as a senior executive. He then ran Baltimore Pictures for Academy Award®-winning producer/director Barry Levinson. He also served for four years at Paramount Pictures as senior vice president. He was a founder and managing partner of Route One Films and is still a minority owner.
Diggins has worked in different executive and producing capacities on dozens of films, and was the executive producer, with Levinson, of the Emmy Award-winning HBO film, The Second Civil War. In addition to A Walk in the Woods, he produced the upcoming film Equals, starring Nicholas Hoult, Kristen Stewart, Guy Pearce and Jacki Weaver. He also was an executive producer on Last Knights, starring Clive Owen and Morgan Freeman.
Prior to working in Hollywood, Diggins worked in the commodities trading field in Los Angeles and New York. He ran the trading room at A-Mark Precious Metals, Inc. and later the A-Mark Minting Company. A decade afterwards, he served on the board of A-Mark Precious Metals, Inc.
Diggins received a B.A. from Pomona College and lives in Los Angeles.
